Methusaleh! Jon Watts in talks to direct with Michael B. Jordan attached to star.
Spider-man: Homecoming and the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts is in talks to direct Methusaleh for Warner Bros. The story is about a man that has managed to stay alive for over 400 years. During this time, he has gained vast amounts of knowledge, experiences, encounters etc. This is looking to be a big hitter for Warner Bros. Jordan's production company, Outlier Society, is on board to produce along with David Heyman of Heydey Films. My thoughts? I think this is a good fit. Also, seeing as how Jon Watts in in talks for this film, it gives me a clue as to the tone of the film. However, I am leaving the door open for this to be a project that Watts' is interested in stretching his range as a filmmaker. I truly hope it is the latter. I love it when directors break out of their wheelhouse an try new things, new genres, and new stories. As for Jordan, this only makes sense. Jordan has a strong working relationship with Warner Bros., especially after he personally helped them adopt the Inclusion Rider policy for all of their productions. All in all, I think this is a good fit and I can't wait for principal photography to get started on it so I can see the movie! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think? Does this excite you? Are you excited simply because it's Michael B. Jordan? Let me know!
